practical effects or nothing. real stunts, real fights, zero cgi apologies.

“That sub is a total claustrophobia nightmare and I loved every second of it. They really nailed the feeling of being trapped in a rusting metal coffin while staring at nothing but red liquid through a tiny porthole. Honestly it puts most big budget space flicks to shame just by keeping things simple and gritty. If you want something that makes you feel like you cant breathe for an hour this is it.”

He is just so perfect for this role. I actually felt like crying for him in those first twenty minutes though, my heart just couldn't take it.

The way they splice those grainy home movies together makes the pacing feel kind of frantic, even when the subject matter slows down. I usually love raw footage, but the sound mixing on some of the older interviews made it a struggle to hear what was actually going on.
