People were way too harsh on this back then because they weren't ready for a skater kid vibe, but the chemistry with Gwen is still miles better than anything else we've seen since.

honestly i just liked how the camera work actually tracked his momentum during the swinging scenes instead of just cutting away every two seconds. they really nailed the sense of weight and velocity that the newer stuff kind of glosses over.
