Honestly I was so ready to hate this because why touch a classic but the chemistry between the leads actually holds up. The fashion is doing a lot of heavy lifting for the pacing issues in the second act though. If you go in expecting the same vibe as the original you might be disappointed but it definitely feels like a 2026 update. Definitely worth seeing just to see how they handled the modern relationship dynamics.
